Victoria’s energy supply crisis worsens under Daniel Andrews

Friday, 8 September 2017

Daniel Andrews’ forced closure of the Hazelwood Power Station means Victorians will choose between either blackouts or no air-conditioners this summer.

Desperate measures to pay Victorians to endure extreme heat is evidence that Victoria no longer has enough electricity – an essential service.

According to the Australian Energy Market Operator, Victoria is facing dark days ahead since Daniel Andrews forced Hazelwood to close with his $252 million coal tax.

Victoria’s most vulnerable, such as the elderly, children and the sick, can’t afford blackouts or no cooling this summer.

How can Melbourne continue to be the world’s most liveable city, when we’re suffering from a Third World energy supply because of Labor’s wrecking-ball energy policies?

Under Labor’s go-it-alone renewable energy target, more coal power stations will close and send power prices soaring even higher.

Only a Liberal Nationals Government will scrap Labor’s ideological Victorian renewable energy target to stop power prices soaring higher.
