Georgie Crozier was elected as Liberal Member for Southern Metropolitan Region at the 2010 State election and was subsequently appointed as the Parliamentary Secretary for Health.

Georgie was appointed as the chair of the Family and Community Development Committee, which undertook ground- breaking work in the Parliamentary Inquiry into Child Abuse by Religious and other non-Government organisations. Georgie tabled the “Betrayal of Trust Report “on 13 November 2013 in the Parliament.

In 2014, Georgie was first appointed to the role of a Shadow Minister. Georgie’s portfolio responsibilities included Families & Children, Child Protection, Youth Justice, Early Education & Community Services, the Prevention of Family Violence, and later Housing.

Georgie grew up in Western Victoria, but has lived in her electorate of SMR for most of her life. Prior to entering Parliament Georgie spent 25 years working in the private and public sector in business, health and health related industries.

A former nurse and midwife, Georgie completed her nurse training at the Alfred Hospital followed by midwifery training at the Royal Women's Hospital. She holds a Bachelor of Nursing and Graduate Certificate in Diabetes Education from Deakin University and a Certificate in Management and Leadership from Swinburne University.

Georgie spent 15 years working and developing comprehensive management guidelines in the acute care and chronic disease.

Following the November 2018 election, Georgie was appointed to the important roles of the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party and the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council. Georgie was also promoted to the major roles of the Shadow Minister for Health and the Shadow Minister for Ambulance Services, building on her significant contribution as a Member of the Victorian Parliament.
