Member for Croydon
David Hodgett was elected the Member for Kilsyth at the November 2006 election, and was re-elected in 2010. Following a redistribution of electoral boundaries David was elected as the Member for the newly named electorate of Croydon in 2014 and became the Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party.
David has a Bachelor of Business from RMIT, a Graduate Certificate in Communication and E-Business from Swinburne University and an Advanced Diploma from the Australian Institute of Company Directors
As the former Mayor of the Shire of Yarra Ranges, David has an in-depth understanding of the needs of Kilsyth. Having been a councilor in Yarra Ranges Shire for 8 years and through his roles on bodies including the Yarra Ranges Enterprise Centres, and the Shire of Yarra Ranges Community Safety Committee, David has a proven track record of delivering for his local community.
David's knowledge and experience in a wide range of matters has enabled him to develop into a valuable member of his community, whose counsel is sought and respected.
David, his wife Tina, and their family live in Mooroolbark. David has lived in Mooroolbark for over 20 years.
