What We Stand For
The Liberal Party exists to provide high quality governments that empower people to solve the major challenges they face in their lives.
The Liberal Party welcomes any Australian who shares its values, and would like to participate in the ongoing debate about the best way to achieve these values in the policies of governments.
We believe in the inherent dignity, responsibility and potential of all Victorians. We believe that government must protect the freedoms of all Victorians and provide the opportunity for all people to achieve their full potential.
For over one hundred and fifty years Liberals have worked to provide governments enabling Australians to live in a strong, democratic, prosperous and growing nation of expanding opportunities.
The Victorian Young Liberal Movement has a proud history of policy development, political campaigning and support for Parliamentary Members. All young members of the Liberal Party can participate in the activities of the Young Liberal Movement.
The Liberal Women's Council is the peak body of women in the Victorian Liberal party. It aims to bring more women into the Party, nurture current members and bring issues of concern to women to the Liberal debate.
What can I do?
Anyone who believes in Liberal values can be a member of The Liberal Party. Being a Liberal Party member can provide you with the best opportunity to be active in Australia's democratic system of government.
Unlike Labor, we don't have cashed-up union mates to fund our efforts, we rely on both big and small donations from ordinary Australians like you.Invest in Victoria's future.
