Senator Helen Kroger was elected to the Senate at the 2007 Federal election, with her term beginning in July 2008.
Helen was educated at Wesley College and undertook a Bachelor of Economics at Monash University. She has also completed various courses at the Australian Institute of Management, including Women in Management and Effective Leadership.
Senator Kroger has been an active member of the community over a number of years including as a delegate to International Women’s Democrat Union Convention and International Democrat Union and Asia Pacific Democrat Union Meeting.
Prior to entering the Senate, Helen Kroger worked as a manager in small business and for a major corporation. She was Director of Fundraising & Development at Wesley College between 1997 and 2003 and was President of the Victorian Division of the Liberal Party from 2003 to 2006.
Senator Kroger is currently a member of the Senate Legislative and General Purpose Standing Committee and the Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade Committee.
